Impression: This is an alternate retelling where Deus’ assistant messes up and accidentally erases the existence of Gasai Yuno from reality and she has to go and fill in the void to avoid a paradox. Unfortunately for her, this also leads to Yukiteru’s near death which is part of the paradox she wanted to avoid. In order to rectify her blunder, Meru-Meru recruits the formidable and mysterious teenage detective Akise Aru to take Yukiteru’s place in the game until he finishes recovering. Many fans who were annoyed by Yukiteru will tell you that this is how the story should have went since Akise is a lot more interesting than Yukiteru in terms of personality. As much fun as it would have been to have him as the main character of the main story, it wouldn’t have worked since you really needs someone with as many character flaws as Yukiteru to make it work. It’s a lot of fun to read and will satisfy Yukiteru haters.
