Manga Review: Mon Suel

Photobucket

Title: Mon Suel
Author: Kizuki Akira
Release: Monthly
Status: Finished
Genre: Seinen
Art: B
Originality: A
Story: A
Characters: A
Humor: B
Action: B

Impression: This is about the problems within a family of three people. The father has gone missing leaving his college student son responsible for the house and his sister who’s still in primary school. The guy’s best friend is there to help the two of them but trouble stirs up as he finds out the secret that was hidden from him. This manga shows that not is all that it appears to be even though the reality is more improbable and darker than what they perceive it to be. It was a good story but the ending certainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth. These kinds of things never end well and despite how realistic the end was, it’s hard not to dislike the characters for the way they treat each other.
