Back Pains

Since last thursday, I've been plagued with back pains. Actually just around my waist area near my left kidney. It hurt whenever i bent down or kick off with my left leg.Thankfully it finally recovered after I started making sure not to move around in my sleep.

I asked around about that since I was wondering why it was feeling like that. I could tell that it wasn't a spinal injury but i was still worried about that possibility. Fortunately one of my friends told me he once felt the same thing when he overdid it doing sit-ups. The source of my pain came from the combined strained of wearing ankle weights all day + my schoolbags + my parkour practice + landing in a squat for all my jumps.

I imagine that my back will be much stronger thanks to this experience and hence will better prepare me for December. While I haven't made much progress with flipping, I am happy to say that I can stick to the wall long enough for me to do stuff like throwing projectiles and look around. When I realized that I was doing the same thing as the ninja from shinobido, I considered the feasibility of those fighting techniques from that game.

Aside from that I still need to find a dark fabric that's durable enough for what I'm going to do. A ninja outfit is necessary for this and I feel that it'll only improve my already impressive stealth capabilities. Unless of course I'm wearing it during the day.

1st Week Progress

About a week's passed since I started training and I can already see some results.

Just one week before, I couldn't even touch the ceiling in my room no matter how much I jumped but now I can easily touch it just jumping straight up. I can press half my palm on it and that's just over 3 meters high.

For kicking off walls, I can manage to kick off four times before I start to fall and thanks to that I can now spin while "standing" on that wall. Even one of my friends was amazed that I managed to "stand" almost horizontally on the wall 5 feet off the ground.

I have no problems climbing a wall. Right now, the highest one I've ever climbed is about the same height as my ceiling. But I'm pretty sure that I can climb much higher ones.

As for how high I can jump off the ground, it's just at a average person's shoulder level if I tuck in my legs.

Right now, my main concern are flips. When I ever run up a wall and kick I get this urge to push all the way for a flip but that's pretty damn scary considering that I haven't figured out how to do a front and back flip normally.

Dark Knight: Best Movie I've Ever Seen

Two Days ago I went with a couple of my friends to watch the "Dark Knight". And to my pleasure, it didn't just meet my expectations, it soared right past them. It was so good that I'm actually having trouble with describing how epic the movie was.

I sat through nearly 3 hours of sheer entertainment trying to finish off my popcorn but I was so captivated by the movie that I still had 1/3 of the amount I bought at the end. That's saying something considering the fact that I always finish a bucket of popcorn halfway through movies. The more boring the movie is, the faster I finish off my popcorn. There was even one time where I finished off half the bucket five minutes into the movie. I think it was Harry Potter 3. It's not that I don't like Harry Potter stories but the movies do not do the books justice. Now that I think about it, I seem to eat whenever I get bored... I wonder if that's a good thing.

Well anyway, I just wanted to put up a tribute to the now dead Heath Ledger who played his role as Joker magnificently. May he win that posthumous actor award and that his work will inspire other actors to do better so there's fewer dull movies. There are far too many of them nowadays.

Rest in peace Ledger.

Training in progress!

I am now training my ass off to do parkour in december. For those of you who don't know what that is, parkour is also known as free-running and is associated to the Yamakasi and Urban Ninja videos. Look it up on youtube if you have still no idea what it is.

In december me and a few of my friends will be making videos of us doing that stuff along with any gags we'll do to scare people. If any of you got ideas on what i should do to get myself ready feel free to comment right here.

Stealth Level UP

People have known me to be evil when it came to tricks. I don’t mean stuff like making someone say that they drink soup with a fork or flicking them on the head after making them look down. I do those as well but they just aren’t as much fun as making people scream, tricking them into going to the wrong toilet or even switching out oreo cream with toothpaste.

After I do stuff like I tend to laugh out loud at the reactions I get. Particularly making girls scream. Guys don’t scream as much but they still give out amusing enough reactions. According to the many people who’ve heard my after-pranking laughs, it sounds incredibly evil and my smiles at those times creep quite a few of them out.

My normal laugh doesn’t sound quite as evil and it’s more of a chuckle than a laugh. When I find things to be funny enough to laugh I give out a very suspicious sounding chuckle. Combine that with my ability to put a poker face at such occasions and the result is that the alert level in my friends’ minds will go up two levels just in case I’m up to something.

LUCKILY for me but not them, most of my cousins are girls so when we gather at our grandpa’s house I always make sure to have fun with them. Fun for me that is, they don’t seem to enjoy my tricks as much as I do. That goes especially for the oldest girl in our generation since I really enjoy her reactions.

Anyway that brings me to what I wanted to write about today. The oldest girl in our generation is the easiest to trick. The most common trick I use on her is my ability to sneak up on people.

Whether I’m right next to her or I’m just waiting for her to turn around, she always gives me the same startled face and one step back combination when she finally realizes I’m there. Most of the time, her reactions include a small shriek and her pressing her hand to her heart looking as if she had a heart attack. After about going through that at least three times in a day, she starts trying to hit me as punishment for sneaking up on her, even when I wasn’t trying to.

A few days ago, there was this function at one of my cousin’s house. She just came back from the United Kingdom so I figured that she just hadn’t readjusted to my ways but back then she was aware enough to catch onto me sneaking up. But that day, she was just as easy to sneak up on as the oldest girl.

At least that’s what I thought the reason was – until today. I realized something that I was doing something that I wasn’t able to do before while I was on my way to the toilet.

I was running without making a noise.

How do I know that?

1) I was running on a metal bridge between buildings, which makes more noise than cement does thanks to the space in between parts.

2) People normally look behind if they here someone running towards them.

3) I heard the girls behind me shriek when I ran past them.

Judging from the fact that they should have heard me coming and that I wasn’t running particularly fast, I’d have to say that I wasn’t making any sounds loud enough for them to hear. After I ran past them and tried listening for my own footsteps, I confirmed that I couldn’t hear them.

After years of conditioning my walk to be silent and quick, it finally paid off with this morning with an upgrade. Those years carrying a heavy bag not only kept me fit, they also gave my ankles and toes enough power to boost my balance and jumping ability to the point where I can run silently. To hell with that idea of running on wet tissues without breaking them! My way is SO much easier.

Those of you who know me better watch out. I am going to have a lot fun with this. [Insert Evil Laugh Here]

Pictures

Lately, I've found myself taking more and more pictures with my phone.

Lots of pictures.

Pictures of people.

Pictures of objects.

Pictures of places.

And because of that, I remembered that I used to love taking pictures when I was younger back when digital cameras didn't exist. It was a hobby of mine that i really loved. My parents even bought me three different cameras.

The first camera was a polaroid camera that developed the film a few seconds after taking the picture. The film was really small and had a sticky surface on its backside so i could stick in anywhere i wanted to. My second and third cameras were the old manual film types. I got my second one in singapore but i don't remember where i got the third.

Back then photography was a an expensive hobby. Especially with polaroid cameras. Twelve bucks for twelve strips of film was really annoying deal. My pictures also usually turned blurry whenever i took them on the go. Good thing digital cameras have that antiblur feature.

I guess i must have changed a lot to have forgotten that I loved taking pictures. I still do by the way but now i don't just take pictures of things i rarely see. I take pictures of anything i want to see again. Although... compared to back then I also take pictures for blackmail purposes as well. Not that I actually use them though.

Hopefully my friend in the picture up there won't find it spread across the internet but I couldn't resist putting it up there. It's a really funny picture of the guy.

That's it for now, see ya later.
